Music

Music is an essential aspect of the worship life at Shepherdstown Presbyterian Church (SPC). There are many opportunities for musical participation including: the Adult Choir, summer music, singers and instrumentalists during Advent and Lent, and other special offerings throughout the year. Soloists and small ensembles also contribute to the worship services.

Our Adult Choir rehearses Tuesday evenings at 7:30 p.m. and sings at the 11:00 a.m. service during the school year. The Choir presents a wide variety of musical styles, from ancient to modern. We are usually accompanied by the organ or piano, but often sing a cappella. All singers of high school age and above are welcome.

SPC also has an ensemble of handbell ringers and welcomes others with or without experience. Reading music is not required and we will teach you how to ring.

If you are interested in participating in any of the above opportunities, please contact the church office at (304) 876-6466, or office@shepherdstownpresbyterian.org.
